What is the Correct Timing for a 125 Sachs

The Sachs manual says 2.5mm to 3.0 mm Before TDC.

The Penton manual says 3.0mm to 3.5mm BTDC

When I line up the timing marks on the case and flywheel I get about 4.0mm BTDC.

Which is correct?

What should I use if I convert to a PVL ignition?

Thanks in advance for any response.

Sachs points ignition I use 2.8   Moto-Plat use 3.0    PVL  3.0  these may not be the ultimate but the bikes seem to run fine with these set ups.
