KRP Flattracker for sale.  Frame number KRP-09.  Tank and seat have never been painted and are the original white fiberglass.  The frame was painted gold and it appears to be low time engine and bike.  This is the bike the way it was sold by Penton.  I started it up two years ago for a demo ride and haven't started it since it since(I drained the tank after every ride).   For detail or pictures please email me off this site or call me @ 832.722.0408 $5000 OBO. Bike can be delivered to Mid Ohio.

Lew,
When I was a kid coming through school that was my dream to have a "factory" ride, the best I got was a parts discount at the local Penton dealer. Now I am to fat and to old to go fast!!A brother of mine says it best "My mine say's GO and my body say's Whoa"
I can say one thing though, riding for my brother Ron would be like a facory ride I am sure!!

I can attest to the "sweetness" of that bike. I have extensive pics of it from when I visited Ron last year. If I could afford it, I would buy it and have Bob Wardlow race it, which is the goal I have set for mine if I can ever manage to find the $$$ and CORRECT Vintage parts to complete it. Who ever manages to adopt this exceptional piece of Penton history should be proud! Mike

Thomas,
you're never too old to go fast and you're not too fat, you just get better traction.[8D] Sponsored by RonCarbaughRacing has a ring to it.

Lew,
I have never had a problem with traction!:D
RonCarbaughRacing ....RCR...isn't that in NASCAR also?

Michael,
I bet Bob could turn it loose!!He has the perfect body for it also, sorta like Jim Rice of old,am I right?I don't know how tall Jim was because I was a kid back then and didn't pay a whole lot attention to details.

I know have better pictures of the KRP Flattracker that I have sent out to the people that have requested them.

Bob,
I know we need to copy the pipe before I release the bike.  I do not have a contact emai for Don.  If you would let him know it is for sale I would appreciate it very much.

Hey, is there any way I can talk you into sending me a couple pics to [email protected] ?  Been at a lot of flat track races and have never seen one. I would say these Kenny Roberts bikes are rarer than the 250 HD's. Hope to see it raced someday. I'd sure get a kick outta seein a Penton leading a half mile. Thanks, Paul

Paul,

OK I may have jumped the gun on selling this bike.  Seems the person who wants to buy it doesn't want me to copy the pipe.  I had promised that I would get this original pipe copied by Circle F before I sold it.  So the bike is off the market until I find out when and if Circle F can fit the project into their schedule.  I will start another post after I visit with them on a time schedule.  Stay tuned.

I know that once I get my KRP project started I will need a pipe, and if it weren't for the thoughtfullness of people like you Ron, that would not be possible. Thanks, Mike
