Don at DC Plastics has just released a reproduction of the original yellow plastic numberplate that fits the CEV large metal headlight eBay item # 150156771513. I gave him an old and faded original at Mid-Ohio to copy. Don has done a very good job of reproducing all of the Penton/KTM items that myself and other POG members have given him to make, so that all of us can have access to items that were previously unavailable in durable matte finish or high gloss plastic. Don should be commended for his commitment to assisting us in making sure that those hard to find items are readily available. Mike

Thanks Mike for your continued work to help everyone find these parts that are not available anymore.

Mike,  Is DC making the front and rear 73-75 Penton MX thin fenders in High Gloss now?  At M/O they only had matte and the originals were gloss.  Thanks

Kip,
I spoke to Don last week, and his plastic supplier currently only has matte finish available. Although they had suppied him with some very good high gloss plastic material previously, they don't seem to know why. Even after testing the properties and composition of the plastic that was high gloss, they can't explain why some of it turned out that way, and can't seem to reproduce it in high gloss at this time. Don is still trying to find alternate sources for the high gloss and will keep me updated. The matte finish material can be sanded and buffed to a high gloss, but it doesn't come that way currently. Hi Mike, just rcd. my front GS # plate in vivid yellow from DC Plastics.....It does have some slight imperfections, yet still worthy of a Penton. At present, it is not within my goals to challenge any vendor who tries.

What we do, is reflected in the posts of the Penton Owners Group, and our efforts are not in vain.

If you own one or twenty.......

John Penton, will always be proud of "us"

Thanks for being a friend.
