Hello POGGERS. I ended up with this from an acquaintance who knew I was into vintage bikes. It is a Berkshire 100 and I believe it is either a '72 or '73 model. Frame #20152743. Any ideas? I couldn't find an engine # either. Also, I couldn't figure out how to post images. If someone can help me with that, I would appreciate it.

The engine does not turn over. Major components missing are the seat, LH shock, exhaust, and cylinder/head. I suppose it could be a runner with some time and effort. There are many useable parts. The chrome on the forks and headlight ring are rust free and aren't pitted.

I need room in my shop for all my other projects so this fine piece of Penton history has to go. I started here as I would like it to go to a POGGER complete as it is. The thought of selling it in pieces on eBay depresses me. As I'm not very familiar with Pentons from this era, I'll do my best to answer any questions.

Bike is located in Central Iowa. I can work with you on delivery as well. I'll be at many of the AHRMA Cross Country Nationals (starting with the ISDT Warm-ups in April) so that is an option. Shipping could be an option too, but that can get pricey in a hurry. Last, but not least, I don't know what this thing is worth so make me an offer and we can talk about it. Post here or e-mail me through the message board and I'll get in touch with you.

Thank you and God bless.

Hi Gary,

Good to hear from you. I'm planning on being at both the Marion and Casey CC's so hope to catch up with you there. Are you all healed up from your injuries? It was your ankle right? Thanks for the offer on helping with bike transport if need be. I'll drop you a note if the need arises. Take care.

Joe

Thank you to all who inquired about the Berkshire. We are moving soon and I need to move it so I had to put it on eBay. Check the listing if you like, item #270227113589. Thanks.
