Vintage Days On The Tube   6/19/2008

The 2007 AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days from Mid-Ohio comes to TV on June 24, courtesy of VERSUS and Pipeline Digital Media who produced the one-hour program. The show will initially air on Tuesday, June 24th at 4:00 p.m. and re-air again on Thursday, June 26 at 3:30 p.m. All times are Eastern and are subject to change. Check your local listings.

Each year 50,000 descend on the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course for three days of vintage motorcycle races, events, shows and fun. Attendees can experience Vintage Motocross, Roadracing, Dirt Track, Trials and much more for the whole family. The AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days event is the creation of and benefits the Motorcycle Hall of Fame Museum in Pickerington, OH. For 2007 Pipeline Digital Media had a crew of 11 people to capture the action for the show.

This program show will feature American Historic Racing Motorcycle Association (AHRMA) "AHRMA/Legends of MX Vintage National Series" race as well as the "AHRMA/Works Performance Historic Cup National Road Race Series, Formula 750 Class" with Jay Springsteen. It will also include segments like the opening of the Motorcycle Hall of Fame Museum's exhibit on Malcolm Smith and the presentation of Jeremy McGrath's bronze statue courtesy of Live Nation. There will also be interviews with Willie G. Davidson, Jay Springsteen and others plus a glimpse of what the world famous "swap meet" is all about with Motocross World Champion Brad Lackey.

The announcing for the show will be handled by veteran motocross and sports personality David Stanfield. David will be joined by motocross legend David Bailey and road racer Jason Pridmore calling the action. Joining them on-site will be Sharra Kris who's recently been announcing for Live Nation's "Monster Jam" to show on Speed.

"It was great to bring this fantastic event to television and show the viewers how great these old bikes are and see how much fun these legends are having riding them." said Todd Huffman, Producer for PDM. "I think modern riders will want to come out and see this event or get a vintage racer after seeing this show." Huffman added.

A longer play DVD version of the show will also be available. Please check for more information at //www.vintagemotorcycledaystv.com.
