When Coors began to distribute their products east of the Mississippi river, they required that the storage at the distributors had to be in a cooler. Kerr Beverage, the company that owned the original building where the displays at the Celebration were shown, took on the Coors distribution for this area.

Because they didn't have a cooler large enough to store the Coors products, they built a new cooler, 55' x 55' x 18' high.

When Penton Imports and Kerr Beverage made that deal to change locations, Kerr originally planned to take down Coors cooler and move it to Lorain at the back of the Penton Imports building. However, they decided that the original Coors cooler wasn't big enough, so they left the cooler next to their building and built a brand new cooler that was 70' x 70' x 20'.

During the facility tour of the Penton Imports buildings, there were stories mentioned that Uncle Ted was a "beer guy". When we were kids running around the original machine shop that Uncle Ted ran, there was a refrigerator at the back of the shop, that always had Rolling Rock beer cases next to and in the 'fridge.

At one point in time, after Penton Imports/Hi Point Racing Products/Hi Point Trailer companies moved to the old Kerr building, we decided to move the machine shop from the 19th Street building, up to Amherst and guess where we put it: in the Coors cooler! Now was that right or not?

The picture that is showing the Penton motorcycles being stored at the KTM building during the Celebration weekend, is also very right. They were in the cooler too, where we were before we moved the machine shop back to the original building at the Farm.

Was that not also your shop, when Penton Racing Products were located within the KTM complex?
