Hello, Does anyone know the history of the KRP flattrack bikes? Were the frames chromoly or mild steel. I know the original Kenny Roberts frames were made of mild steel and mig welded. I was wondering if there was a change for the Pentons. Thanks in advance

Yeah I know but if you don't ask you never know. Circle F used to make them and Jemco will make the body and give me the head pipe to weld to fit. I've got a Cranke pipe for it and can duplicate those dimensions.

So the 250 motor will bolt into the 175 frame? the motor mounts are the same?

Thanks to all. I'll look for a 175 shift shaft if the deal for the bike goes through.

Is the 175 shift shaft the same as the 250? Did they make 250's that the shaft stuck out on both side?

I'm selling some Penton parts that I bought for a PENDA project that I never finished. I have a 74 high breather 125 frame, swingarm, tank, air box, forks, hubs. Just about everything but the motor and pipe. I also have a 73 Jackpiner frame. I'd like to offer it here before I Ebay or Craigslist it. I want $400 and I don't want to split it up or ship. It's located near Sacramento.  Thank you

I was told that the 1975 250 Penton was AHRMA sportsman legal if you don't put the shocks in the laydown position and use the more vertical position. Does anyone know for sure if that's true. Or would I need to race it in the Post Modern class. There aren't that many AHRMA races out here so I wanted to be sure before I headed out there.
