I made it to Unadilla MX Rewind this year. The weather and the track were almost perfect. Got to meet a couple of POG members. Met Lew Mayer briefly and had a great chat with Gordon Brennan about Mudlarks. (I am restoring one)It was great to see someone actually riding one. I wish I had a nice Penton motocross bike but I don't so I had to settle for a borrowed brand X red bike. I raced in the http://i161.photobucket.com/albums/t203/EWilcox183/P6040056_zpsa0536db4.jpg]mg]PV +60 intermediate class. I found out a 76 CR250 is all the wrong bike for PV motocross. In the first moto I got a terrible start almost last through the first turn. A couple guys fell down for me and I passed a few and I ended up in 4th place. The second moto I went through the first turn first and led to Gravity Cavity when an 83 liquid cooled single shock long travel RM jumped passed me down the hill and an 83 liquid cooled single shock long travel YZ jumped past me coming out. I jumped farther than I should have and bottomed out real hard and the right front fork sprayed oil on my boot and the tire. After the great start I charged to the finish in 3rd place. Ended the day with a 3rd place overall. The dinner with the Legends Saturday night was very special. Some amazing stories. Overall MX Rewind was a great weekend for me and I will go back next year with a better bike. I am also posting a few photos of my awesome parking spot by the starting line, Gordon on his Penton and my 3rd place plaque (check out the guy on the bottom left corner).

Penton Talk / MC5 125
February 17, 2021, 03:18:24 PM
Does anyone know about how many MC5 125s were built and about what one might be worth. I searched the message board but didn't find much help.
Thanks, Ed

Penton Talk / Question about Penton seat cover
May 17, 2020, 06:07:19 PM
Does anyone know what a 77 MC5 orange east coast bike would have originally come with for a name on the back of the seat? Was it just Penton or Penton/KTM? Hoping someone knows.

Wanted / For Sale / Wanted MC5 foot peg springs
March 27, 2020, 01:04:15 PM
Searching for foot peg return springs for my 77 MC5. I have a set of 78 springs that work but the left side spring broke. If anyone has or knows where I could get a set of springs and shoulder bolts or just a left side spring. It would sure be appreciated.

Wanted / For Sale / swingarm
December 05, 2019, 04:38:39 PM
I have a 77 MC5 with a frozen swingarm axle. I have it unscrewed out of the left side but it looks like there are collars on the shaft that only move so far then stop. Does anyone have an exploded diagram of the swingarm and a way to get it loose. Thanks!

Penton Talk / New POG member
February 22, 2014, 06:53:32 PM
Greetings Penton Owners group from Snowacuse NY. I am a 60+ kid who still plays with motorcycles. It all started in the 60s with a 5hp B&S mini bike. Then in the 70s real motorcycles and motocross/hare scramble/enduro. I am into my 5th decade of riding and racing dirt and street motorcycles and don't plan on quitting any time soon.
I saved a Wassell - Mudlark from the scrap man as I have been looking at vintage MX Pentons for a little +60 class racing. In doing research on it I have explored this website numerous times. I have gotten parts and some great information from members already. Becoming a member is a no-brainer.
I am not to swift with computers and I am going to try to post some pics. I hope they work.
Nice to meet everyone! Ed

Penton Talk / Mudlark on Ebay
February 15, 2014, 06:13:09 PM
It is advertised as a 1972 KTM. Ad says frame # W569ST w/1251/5a eng# 6774145. That frame number makes it a Wassell. Mine is frame # W539ST eng# 6773739. It has different fenders - seat - Ceriani forks and has had some paint work.[uhttp://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/KTM-Other-1972-penton-ktm-125-/191069373391?pt=US_motorcycles&hash=item2c7c9f43cf&vxp=mtrrl][/url]
