hello again i have just visited the ktm web page
and the 76 enduro has a different chainguide and
the right hand engine case is fully enclosed around the sprocket in one piece. i have looked at my engine and there does not seem to be any holes at the back of the caseing to take a one
piece case, has yours

hello patrick i have the same model ktm which
seems to be a little different from yours. going by
the engine number yours is older than mine, the
airbox on yours looks to be plastic whereas mine
is alloy .does your left side panel seal the airbox
or is the airbox one piece ,ithink mine is possibly
a76but looking at the difference in engine numbers it might be a 77. if you look below the
front sprocket on the caseing there is a stamp
with ayear imprinted in.i think perhaps if it says 75
it was built for 76 , at the moment larry is going to
have a go at putting a date on mine speak soon

Hello Larry.
The frame number is 550 02682 and the engine is 6-5103061.  I have had the bike for 7yrs and had no luck finding out from KTM dealers anything about it because their records dont go back to 1976. It looks to be a scrambler but with the lighting coils on i am not so sure.  It has a 5 speed gear box, did the enduro version have 6? Thanks for helping out, speak to you soon

hello again
i have just returned from the site gooey
recomended and  what an excellent site it is
i also have a 79 125 in bits a80 rv 125 which i race and a81 125 enduro in need of
tlc so ifound  some very good pics
going back to the 76/77/78  the tank is
a 78 the engine has 3/76 on the casing a is
a ktm it has 125 between the cylinder fins    it has cerianni forks  also it has lighting coils should it? i'm going to check out the sites chris suggested, will chat to u later

i bought the bike seven yrs ago and it is in
very good condition  i have had no luck
finding any info in the uk regarding  spares
or anyone else who owns a125 ktm of that
age i would like to race it but not knowing  
if there are any spares anywhere  has put
me off .  the bike needs airbox side panel
and the carb is wrong  it has a mikuni from a 1981 rm125 suzuki   on at the moment
and runs well but i would  like to put a
standard carb  on  is there a manual  
i wont burden you with too many questions

Could someone please tell me if my bike with a ktm engine should have lighting coils
It appears to be a scrambler,,also is there a manual available in usa, There is no information available in the uk on a ktm this
old . The guy i bought it from shipped it from
italy.
any help welcomed

i have a 76/77 ktm it is identical to a 1977 mc5 175  is it a penton or a ktm?
