July 07, 2024, 09:05:25 AM
this photo brought up a question I had on steel tankers.  Was there no front cable450179461_2409268299263510_7874714865216777672_n.jpg guide to keep tire from grabbing cable ?  Seems like there was but can't find any information.

Penton Talk / Re: Steel tanker brake light switch
June 07, 2024, 05:19:25 PM
Seems strange that the taillight had 2 filaments but no switch was thought of. Several mistakes like same part number on frames, even though the 002 shows the mount for a low pipe. What does the switch look like and what brand for a 72?

Did Penton ever supply a brake light switch for the enduro kits 68-71?  If so what brand was it and what did it look like? Thanks all.

Wanted / For Sale / Sachs engine stand

Anyone remember a simple engine stand that came with Penton or maybe Husky dealer tool collection?  It was about 16" long x 5" wide and about 3/4" thick? This is by memory.  Had 4 round posts sticking up.  You would lay engine on it's side and posts went thru motor mounts.

Wanted / For Sale / Re: WTB Re-pop 14MM Kicker
February 09, 2022, 10:13:37 AM
Kevin:  Is the 14mm the ones used on the original Sachs 100/125's? I have a perfect re-chromed original I was going to use for a resto that never happened.  I'll have to look but think it is the straight variation not with the dogleg.  Email me as I'm not on this site that often.  [email protected]   Ted Atkinson

Paul:
Yes for sure you have to relocate the pins that locate the rings.  I remember doing that and it was a chore to get the old pins out of the Yamaha 305 Big Bear pistons.
