Penton Talk / Bing Tickler Question
April 02, 2003, 11:29:05 AM
I've got three old Bings that I'm trying to make into one usable one. So I'm trying to get parts off of one that has a good tickler knob and put it on one that is ok except for the tickler that is sheared off on the top. I've tried to find a replacement for the original carb but can't find a complete one that matches number 2/36/102A.

I saw the side panels on ebay but all it says is for an MC5 it doesn't say for what bike.

Nice bike, I would buy it if I had the money. My dads got 3 vintage bikes that were trying to restore a '73 Cz 250 Mx a '76 Penton 250 mx and a '78 400 KTM Mx. The Cz and Penton are in ok shape Penton just needs some engine work as well as the Cz. The 400 is basiclly a frame up restoration cause we got it off ebay and it's in pretty bad shape. The Penton and Cz my dad has had since new. Hope someone buys yours!

Our '78 400 is a frame up restoration cause it was in poor shape when we bought it. I'm having a hard time trying to find parts like a rear fender and side panels. I hear that they are very hard to find. Our '76 250 is in pretty good shape it just needed a new carb and engine my dad also has a '73 Cz 250 that is resotred to fair condition it just needs new handle bars he has had it since new as well.

The engine number should be above the magneto cover close to the front of the engine.

Do you know if a motor from a '79 250 would work in my '76 250?

It's both the bowl and the part that holds the jets and slide.
