Hi Steve, I'd mount tires if I had some. I'm having a hard time deciding on tires. It's not easy finding a decent 3.50 . On the Monarks there's not enough room for anything wider, when using the chain guard.
 On the Penton it will probably be a 4.10 Cheng Shin C755, a 4.10 Duro, or maybe a 100/100 Pirelli Scorpion. For show they need to look correct, and for riding they need to work best - and I'm not sure there's a perfect solution for either.

Rob, look at the 100/100-18 Continentals. They're a smaller sized tire.
I've used them on my JP and liked them.

If you are interested, I can get the rear cone sections made.  You would have to weld them together on your pipe.  If interested, let me know.  I can get the 125 and 175 pipe cones.

Your rear frame loop is bent WAY upward. That might help your seat sag also.

Here is a pic I borrowed of a Mint 400 with a similar frame that shows the proper rear frame loop and rear fender position so that the seat base lays flat and doesn't warp, as it appears in your Jackpiner pic. Mike

Found a tank on eBay to put on my brother's original Jackpiner he bought in September 1973.  Tested for leaks, now need to strip and paint and get it running.  Has spark and compression, but hasn't run in 33 years!
