Hi Guys,
I am interested in the '77 GS400 on eBay in Texas..but I wanted to know if anyone was bidding on it from here? I like the '79 KTM 420 that Jon has for sale, but I wanted to race in the Historic class ( as I have acouple of friends racing in that class) instead of the 1978-1982 Gran Prix class..Thanks, Buddy:D

Buddy- Jon, here I'm interested in the Penton 400. Do you know of any one who travel's to Minnesota. I hate to have to pay $600 for shipping.

I'm either hi or 2nd hi bidder i haven't checked today but i'm really only after his frame, swingarm, and possibly tank-(the spare parts)so if someone gets it and wants to sell above stuff to offset cost of bike let me know please. The seller is real unclear on what he wants out of bike and if he will seperate these items-I emailed him with no response yet.......

Buddy,
I hope that you were planning on using this GS6 enduro model for cross country, because you would be better off with the MC5 model for MX.

I know for a fact that this bike is good for MX or cross country. The only difference is the loop for the rear fender and the cover over the frame back bone. I would put my GS6 up against any MX bike. The GS6 frame has two shock settings, one for Cross country and one for MX. The frames are the same other than the cover over the frame backbone. What's a fair price for this bike, high end and low end?

Here's where it gets sticky!!!! I know that we are all trying to be nice and considerate to each other, but it looks like there are a couple poggers that want this bike and if you guys weren't bidding on it, I would love to bid on it also. I would also be happy with just the frame and swingarm. The auction process will insure that the guy who is willing to pay the most will get it.

If I could sell my 420,I'd give it a try. The reserve is $2000.00.  I'm moving soon, so I don't really need another bike unless I can sell one of mine.Good luck guys,

Hi Guys,
I had the seller email me some close-up pics of the GS400..it's not in that great of shape once you see it close-up:(..I'd have been willing to go $1200.00 but not $2000.00 for it even with all of the extra's..but I don't know if you will even get the extra's for the reserve price..I could not nail down the seller as what it would take to get the extra's..I know Jon's '79 420 is in a different class but it's in alot better shape than this GS400..anyone want to see the close-up pics just email me an I'll send them to you..Good Luck & Happy Bidding..I'm out..Buddy

Maicobuddy- go over to mototalk and look under my post "get your vintage on." It has huge pics of both sides of my 420,old pics but still looks good.
