I am new to all this but I have a 74 250 that was doing about the same thing. I found a crack in the case behind the mag. I also found a crack in the mag coils.

We were at Marion last weekend I did not get to run I hurt my back on Friday morning before the races. We had a great time every one was really friendly. Can you give me more information on the flywheel weight issue. I have a 250 and a 175 which bike do you think would be the best in the woods.

Penton Talk / shock mounting
December 29, 2008, 05:45:48 PM
Larry:
You are right I forgot about them asking me all those question. They built the shocks for the mounting to be by the seat bracket. The shocks are 15 inches center to center on the mounting holes. I may run some vintage races if time permits and I get the bike in good order. Thanks for your help.

What is the best ignition for a 1974 250 Harescrambler. I plan on riding in the woods most of the time. I would like to have one that makes the bike easier to start.

Thanks:
