Wanted / For Sale / Rechroming radaelli rims
October 11, 2006, 05:50:58 PM
I had a rear Radelli for my '72 Six Days done by a plater in Minnesota I think it is called Deter's plating--I will have to find the address if someone wants it.  It came out absolutely perfect but he wanted $150 plus S&H.  Apparently it is very tough to to hold onto a rim while inside buffing on a wheel. Does Buchanan do quality lacing work?  Brian G.

The NOS one that I have is the large one with the flat back that I got from Larry a few years ago. I believe is has CEV markings.  I would like to swap it for the small bullet style model.  Brian

Jerry:  I have a '72 swingarm you can have.  The chain guard brackets are damaged, but it has been bead blasted and I am pretty sure it is still straight.  My e-mail is [email protected].  Brian

Both seem are bent. Does anyone have a swing arm and the bolt that holds it in place that will fit a 1973 125 ISDT? I don't need the kickstand, etc. Just those two parts. The swing arm will be powdercoated so quality of paint isn't an issue. Thanks Jerry

Penton Talk / Information on Tyran

I thought the Sprite 405s were also sold here as American Eagle Talons.  I have never found out who made the Husky clone 405 engine.  Does anyone know the source of the 405 motors?  Also the American Eagle 250s that I have seen had Sprite frames and Kawasaki rotary valve singles in them.  Brian G.

I have three Tyran 125's. They are very nice bikes but hard to find as many have been broken up for parts. They have a stingray bike styling to them which is very cool along with the alloy tank and fenders. The wheels are real nice and one of the bikes I got the wheels went to build a Triumph racer. So I am looking for a Wassel front and rear wheels which are the same as the Penton trials bike. The were a pair of 250/405 Tyran MX bikes at mid Ohio. These were built by Sprite in the UK and had the Sprite motors which were based on the Husky 4 speed motors. Nice bikes with Alloy tanks and alloy side panels. They looked like Cheney's with Husky motors in them. The pair went for $700. I spent my money on a Penton Woodsman or I would have boutght them. You see them on Ebay every once and a while u.

Wanted / For Sale / Looking for a Speedo Cable
January 12, 2004, 06:13:29 PM
I am looking for a front wheel drive cable for the VDO enduro speedo.  I tried AL B. and he has not seen any in some time.  I was at least hoping to locate a used one and perhaps could even try to get some replacements made if others are interested.  Thanks.

Which speedo cable are you looking for, the one for the front wheel drive or the on that goes to the engine.  One of my 72's had the cable going to the motor and the other goes to the front wheel.  Did you try the parts suppliers on this site?

Thanks Doug:  When you refer to the "front wheel" are you referring to the drive ratio as the speedo drives off of the countershaft on the right side of the engine--correct? I do not have anyway to drive it off of the front hub.  Brian
