I saw a trashed out Hercules 125GS sel for over $15,000 on Ebay last month.  The I heard the deal...money laundering schemes find low density, obsure items to bid on at an outrageous price.  Once the bid is secured the seller gets contacted and told that the buyer made a mistake but will send the large sum.  Since it is clearly way out of line with the items true value they demand that the seller keep only what is fair ( a fraction of the bid price) and send the balance back to the buyer via certified means.  Voila, the money is transfered and the unwary seller has now violated the law.  So watch it...my gradfather used to say...if it looks too good to be true it probably is!

I am checking out a source here that says he has a very nice PP enduro rear fender for the '74-76 bikes and he produces it in several colors.  The cost was 50 euro for the rear and 35 euro for the front.  I plan to take my NOS fenders up to him tomorrow to make a comparision and if all turns out to be correct I will take some pictures for the POG community.  He also claims to make several of the number plates and front enduro masks.  Let's see where this goes!

Thanks so much for the notice.  Donny is a wonderful guy and his presence is sorely missed.  I am sure he will be swamped answering all the "get well" emails he will recieve now that we all know he is not feeling up to par!  You are lucky to count him amoungst your closest friends (as are we all)!

Thanks for the "HEADS UP" I'll definately check it out.  It has been my perception that Europeans are willing and ready to pay ridiculous amounts for vintage bikes in most any condition.  It's often cheaper to buy from the States and pay shipping than to buy on German Ebay.
