The one right next to it is my GS and I have the original orange side panels but take them off when racing to keep them in the exceptional condition they are in. The front lighted number plate is also original and orange.  I picked up a set of orange Preston Petty fenders just like the ones on JP's from Paul Stannard of Strictly Hodaka. Tom

I concure with Larry on the reliability and fun factor of the KTM 150XC.  I actually owned a Honda 250X and it simply was not ever enough motorycycle for me even with a few top end mods I did to it. I entually sold it and settled on a KTM 300XC and would highly recommend this commonly called "three stroke".  

I use the 300 to race/ride hard,technical stuff and also casual trail riding and it is by far to  me the most useable fun bike for any application.  I purchased it new in 2007 and it has many, many hard trouble free hours on it.  I thought of selling it for the newer version 300 with electric start and contemplated the new 4 stroke KTM 350XC soon to be released but still find myself leaning towards just keeping the 07 300XC because it fits me like a glove and has been that good of a bike. It easy and cheap to maintain, starts easy every time regardless of the pridicamant I get myself into on the technical stuff.  I equipped it with a Rekluse auto clutch and actually prefer that over electric start, that makes it so doesnt stall and can climb technical stuff way beyond my capabilities a gear higher (three stroke)!!

When Larry told me that this race would be dedicated to you I knew right then and there I would would put in extra, extra, heart and soul into this one.  I can honestly say Rick and Larry did so as well.  

As difficult as the Laughlin race was, I'm certain there is no comparison nor nearly as challenging of race You and your wonderful partner Clinta are going thru right now.

I'm honored to be part of your pit crew and along with my prayers for you two also know that I'm here cheering you on!

I thought he might be the same Dave as well but he is not.  I also know the Avon Dave Wright as well, you may recall they had a lawnmower shop next to the Suzuki shop and I actually helped out there one summer repairing lawnmowers and also bought a RM 125B off of Dave at a very special price.  He also helped me out on parts and racing.  He was at the RR in Ohio last year and we had a great time reminiscing.  I was part of Flying Team Dump with my buddy Marty Mackey who rode Kawasaki's

I have been scouring the earth for one of these for some time and missed out on one last year by literally minutes.  As soon as I read your post I contacted the owner-Dave Wright on the one in Brunswick, GA and it was still available. I immediately committed to purchase and will be picking it up this weekend, Dave was even nice enough to meet me half way on the delivery:D What a deal!
