Both of my 72 Piners had VERY noisy clutches in them. Never had any problem with them. I think that I read a test on them and it was mentioned that they sounded like a beer can in a combine, or somethng to that effect. Dennis D

If Randy doesn't have them I have a couple of sets that I bought for extras including the warranty disclaimer stickers that I would sell for what I have in them. Dennis D

Ted, Have you joined the Vinduro group and been approved?
Not that is a big deal but they have gone to that to
get rid of the spam and links to non vintage bike stuff if

1200 Before you spray your basecoat isn't going to give much of a "bite" for your paint. I usually use 400. Dennis D

I live about twenty miles west of STL. Sounds like the bike may be down around Festus/Crystal City area. Not a deal for me as I go that way when I go to St. Joe to ride. I may go to the MOVMX race at Blue Springs so I could deliver it there for him. Dennis D

I get a lot of my odd size taps through my local NAPA
store. If that doesn't work, call a local machine shop
and see where they buy theirs at. Mcmaster Carr (SP?)
is also a good source. Some of the bigger and odd pitch
metric taps and dies get expensive. Dennis D

I have used the Caswell's in three Ossa tanks and they
seem to be holding up well. Dennis D

Ted, I saw your post earlier and hoped that someone would come to your rescue. I am going to give you the number to a cycle salvage place in St. Louis where I saw one of these tanks sitting. I imagine the reason it is still there is because no one has wanted to give up their first born for it, although I never inquired about it. The place is only open on Fridays now and the guy that was there is named Ken. Hope it works out for you. Dennis D
