OK, I might not have understood the swingarm change.  Mine is under the swingarm  not on the side.
as I read it, I thought the previous years had the stand somewhere other than the swingarm  I went back and re-read the list of changes and realized that I have the older style underneath.

I have an original 175 JP, of which the MSO states 73, s/n is #302, and the bike had alum fenders, silver hubs, and the kickstand under the swingarm.  It is a non-frame breather.  I also had a #304 (two months later), which had plastic fenders, side of swingarm kickstand, and was a hi-breather.

OK, I have the same case as your original JP.  Thanks for the reply

Thanks Rob:  Despite the title, I have always said it was a '72 like in my sig line.

I went last night.  I liked it a lot.
Thanks Twisted Throttle.
I was going to take my 72 Six-Days, but it was still snowing and I did not want to get calcium chloride all over it from road spray into the open truckbed.

Saw KJD's JackPiner though.  Nice bike:)

What a nice offer.  Too bad I have to plow snow for a living, or I'd be all over it.  Thanks

just use a 2X4 and push down on the high side and the opposite on the low side using one side to work against the other.  Very simple.  Ron Carbaugh

Penton Talk / Tail light question

That explains the serial # descrepancy.  I have a MA Title that says it's a 73.

I looked at any pics I could find fron the 40th/10th get together and couldn't see any pics that showed the tail light with a bike having the small dia headlight.

That's an impressive list.  Where are all those Hercules coming from?
